Mindful Moment Challenge

Life is what happens when you are busy making other plans.
~John Lennon

I wake up and the phone is ringing. Is it the cell phone or the home phone? Are the kids up yet? Okay, off to the shower. We have 30 minutes before the kids need to be out the door for school. Are the lunches packed? Is everyone dressed for the weather? Mornings can be a challenge, even for the most organized. The reality is that for many, there is a lot that needs to happen before 8:00 a.m.

Do you wish you could start your day with a mindfulness routine, but don’t have the time? Studies are showing that even a minute or two of a daily practice can positively impact your outlook and your health.

Are you willing to try a 1 week challenge? Can you dedicate a minute or two a day?

For 7 days, start each day with one of these practices:

  1. Before you get out of bed, stretch, take 3 deep breaths and make an intention for the day.
  2. Write down something you are grateful for and one thing you will do for yourself that day.
  3. Do 1 minute of mindful breathing. Put your hands on your stomach and bring your attention to your breath.

If you take on this challenge, I would love to hear about your experience. Send me an email at krantzwellness@gmail.com or post a comment on my blog. One minute a day can make a difference!
